We are born as free and expressive beings but through the growing-up process and the demands of life, many of us lose this in our day-to-day life. Singing is one way we can regain our freedom of expression.
There is something incredibly joyful and bonding about singing together in a group; it lifts your spirits, opens your heart and creates a feeling of community. It creates endorphins which raise your spirits and ease pain. As it’s aerobic exercise and works many of the muscles in the upper body, it oxygenates your body and improves your fitness and alertness. It has also been found to aid coordination and neurological functioning. And if you’re worried that you can’t do it don’t let that get in the way. It’s not about getting it right, it’s about having fun. And the more you relax the easier you’ll find it!
